Hand-picked by craysuper in collaboration with one of Nepal's greatest singing bowl producers, collectors, and sound therapy luminaries. Ensuring authenticity and quality of appearance and sound.
  • Sourced in Nepal from our trusted friend—a master singing bowl maker, collector, and sound healer—this rare Antique Broad Rim Singing Bowl is a true treasure, hand-selected with care by our craysuper team for its sound and distinctive form.
  • This one-of-a-kind bowl features a broad rim, low profile, and bulbous belly design—sometimes referred to as "self-amplifying" for the way its rounded form enhances its voice.
  • Unlike Mani or Thadobati styles, bowls with this unusual shape are rare and mysterious. Their exact origins aren't fully known, but the story goes that artisans sometimes crafted experimental shapes in their free time, exploring new designs. Unique pieces like this are treasure-hunt finds in the world of antiques—each one a glimpse into a maker's creativity.

With its grooved lip, golden finish, and rounded belly, this bowl has a striking visual presence. It sings beautifully with a wooden mallet, even if it doesn't respond to the suede side, and produces a high-pitched tone with bright resonance. When struck, the bowl delivers a crisp, clear fundamental note in a higher frequency range (~434Hz), offering a sound that feels uplifting and clarifying.

Antique Tibetan singing bowls are treasured for their remarkable tonal quality and handmade character. Every hammer mark, patina, and sign of age tells a part of its history! In your hands, this bowl will continue its journey as a lifetime heirloom, sharing it's timeless resonance for years to come.

As with all of our antiques, you will receive the exact bowl pictured—photographed, recorded, and described individually so you can connect with its sound and presence before it reaches you.

Sound:

When struck, this bowl rings with a fundamental tone of A (~434 Hz). Resonating with the Third Eye Chakra, this note is often linked with focus, intuition, and inner vision. Its clear and steady resonance encourages reflection and concentration, creating a calming soundscape for meditation or simply quiet moments.

Check out the sound recording to hear this one-of-a-kind bowl. All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet

Size:

~7" in diameter at the base, 3.5" deep.
